Testosterone

Testosterone is a hormone secreted by the testes in men, the ovaries in women, and the adrenal glands in both. Testosterone levels decline with age. ANDROPAUSE is the term used to define a syndrome associated with a decrease in sexual satisfaction or a decline in feelings of well-being with low measures levels of testosterone in older men. Andropause occurs over many years having an insidious onset and slow progression often associated with irritability, fatigue, depression, and sleep disturbances. Testosterone decreases at a rate of 1% yearly but is variable. The rate of testosterone decline is affected by chronic disease, obesity, severe emotional stress, and certain medications.

Symptoms of Low Testosterone include:

  • Decreased muscle strength
  • Weight gain (loss of lean mass and increase in fat)
  • Decreased sexual response
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Loss of libido or sex drive
  • Fatigue
  • Osteoporosis
  • Degenerative joint changes
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Memory difficulty
  • Increased cardiovascular disease
Natural Testosterone replacement can cause the following improvements for most:
  • Restore muscle strength and improve stamina
  • Restore sexual desire
  • Improve bone health and prevent osteoporosis
  • Reverse impotence

  • Improve memory and sleep
  • Produce a more favorable body composition (less fat and increased muscle mass)
  • Improve good cholesterol and decrease total cholesterol

Replacing low testosterone with natural testosterone in men with symptoms can improve many factors associated with improvement of overall quality of life.  It is well documented in the medical literature that there is NO EVIDENCE that Testosterone Therapy causes Prostate Cancer.  Further studies found NO CONNECTION between higher testosterone levels and prostate cancer.
